On Saturday 10 November 1.15 – 3.15 pm the exhibition hosts a First World War Poetry session

–         come and recite a poem or read out your own poem on the Great War –

 Unfortunately from 4 November, the ‘Pooler! History of Pontypool RFC’ collection will not be on show again until 2019 (date tbc), due to building works.

Wednesdays 21 & 28 November – Torfaen Museum goes to Market!

The volunteers will be having a stall in Pontypool Indoor Market for the last two Wednesday market days in November – come along for your Christmas goodies with Welsh & local gifts, jewellery & crafts.

Saturday 24 November at the museum for:

2.00 pm – 40th AGM of the Torfaen Museum Trust

2.30pm – Private View of the Members selling exhibition

             & Fundraising Donated Artworks in the Tearoom

Bring your guests and buy unique and special gifts for all your family and friends or for yourself, supporting both the museum and local artists!

The museum closes for the Christmas season on Thursday 20 December and will re-open in 2019 on Thursday 3 January.

2019 will see a major new exhibition ‘Our Valley Inheritance’ telling the story of Torfaen Museum and its collections & showing recent acquisitions that in turn tell the unique history of this Valley
