This facility, sited within the Pontypool Museum building, thus contains Torfaen Museum Trusts archive and archive resources including documents, posters, papers maps and plans, tithe map copy and local newspapers.  The extensive photograph collection is also housed within the library.  The documents, books and paper ephemera in the Dobell-Moseley collection are works associated with local authors and the social and industrial archaeology and history of the Eastern Valley.  Recently the Library has also commenced a programme of collecting books, papers and journals relating to museology, area guides and initiatives, video and audio tapes (including oral history recordings).
